Who we work with

Most clients start with the Assessment. Then we select the right path based on your context, capacity, and urgency.

For Founders and SMBs

Build an operating model your team can actually run

When growth is straining your systems, you don't need more hustle. You need clear decision paths, ownership, and working rhythms that reduce chaos and increase throughput.

  • You're scaling from "founder-led" to "team-led" execution
  • Priorities shift weekly and accountability is fuzzy
  • Decisions bottleneck at the top
  • Great people are burning out managing ambiguity

Outcome: faster decisions, cleaner ownership, fewer dropped balls, measurable traction.

For Nonprofit Leaders

Strengthen execution without losing the mission or the people

Nonprofits don't struggle with purpose. They struggle with capacity, competing priorities, and systems that weren't built to scale impact.

  • Your team is carrying too much "invisible work"
  • Service delivery is inconsistent across programs or sites
  • Burnout is rising and cross-team handoffs are messy
  • You're asked for outcomes, but the operating system can't keep up

Outcome: improved service consistency, clearer priorities, better staff experience, stronger trust.

For Leadership Teams and Team Leads

Align the team, remove friction, and make progress repeatable

When execution is inconsistent, it's rarely a motivation problem. It's usually misalignment, unclear decisions, and broken handoffs.

  • Work is happening, but it's not coherent
  • Cross-functional coordination is expensive and frustrating
  • Metrics exist, but they don't drive decisions
  • Meetings feel constant, clarity feels rare

Outcome: aligned priorities, cleaner decisions, improved cross-functional performance.

About

Shenae Duré, Founder of Empathinx

Meet Shenae

I'm a strategist and operator who's spent 15+ years at the intersection of customer experience, operational improvement, and organizational change.

I built Empathinx for leaders who are tired of plans that don't translate into day-to-day execution. Our work is about designing how decisions, work, and experience actually happen so teams can perform without burning out.

We're based in Charlotte and work virtually nationwide. If you want a partner who respects real constraints, tells the truth, and builds systems that stick, we'll work well together.

FAQ

The Operating Health Assessment is a fast, evidence-based diagnostic that helps you understand where your organization's execution, learning, and experience capabilities are breaking down and what to do next. It includes a leadership pre-assessment (with an optional team pulse), a diagnostic report highlighting your top friction points and leverage areas, a 90-minute working session to interpret results and set priorities, an Execution Brief delivered within 7 days with high-impact recommendations, and a 90-day check-in to review progress and adjust.
You'll get a clear recommendation for what to do next, with options based on your capacity: implement independently, do a focused sprint with Empathinx, or engage longer-term.
I work with founders, nonprofit leaders, team leads, and executives who know their strategy is sound but execution keeps hitting the same roadblocks. Clients typically lead teams of 10–200 people and are ready to invest in building sustainable systems, not quick fixes.
It depends on scope. The Operating Health Assessment takes 2–3 weeks from start to Execution Brief delivery. Full engagements range from 8 weeks for focused projects to 6+ months for transformation work. We'll define the timeline together based on your goals and capacity.
Yes. I'm based in Charlotte, NC, and work virtually with clients nationwide. Most engagements are fully remote, though I'm available for on-site workshops or key sessions when valuable.
I focus on how work actually happens, not how it's supposed to happen on paper. This means designing for real constraints, real decision-making patterns, and real human behavior under pressure. The result is solutions that stick because they're built for your context, not borrowed from someone else's playbook.
Both. Some clients want clarity and a plan they can run. Others want help embedding the operating rhythm, building the learning loop, or redesigning the experience end-to-end.
Start with a Quick Fit Check, a brief conversation to see if there's alignment. If you're facing execution challenges, need to build learning capabilities, or want to improve customer experience systematically, you're likely a good match.
